Nashville has a good base, Carolina has great fans. TB fans still show up even tho they suck. ATL well its the worse pro sports city in america

All of the teams I listed rank 22nd or lower in attendance as percentage of capacity. Most of those teams have winning records. The Lightning were down there too.

I would think that Seattle would be #1 in line for a new NHL franchise considering that there is a winter sports hole where the Sonics used to be.

Seattle is one of the best sports towns in America. They even have awesome MLS fans. Seattle would be a perfect place for a franchise - move one of the Sunbelt teams up there.

thats b/c the sounders have had a base for years, when the sonics sucked no one cared and now the seahawks are back to being nothing no one goes.

They've got to save the name for when they move an NBA team back to the city. The Sonics had a decent history (an NBA championship) and awesome fans. Key Arena/Seattle Center Coliseum was a madhouse.

Or 3 hours, but who's counting? Seattle and Vancouver are about the same distance apart as Vancouver and Seattle.

Aren't they a 2009 expansion team?

Either way. I don't think it would take much for Seattle fans to get on the NHL bandwagon.

I don't see the need to panic about the Thrashers. The owners hate the fanbase. We've known that for years. I try to go to a couple of games a year, but they've been getting rid of their big names every year for the last few. I am surprised that it took this long to ditch Ilya, to tell you the truth, but I don't care anymore, as I have disowned them and am now officially declaring myself a Sabres fan. I'll still follow the Ice Birds while I still live in ATL, and I won't ditch my Thrashers gear, but they don't deserve my emotional investment.

And I'm a Black dude who has an Atlanta Knights sweatshirt, purchased in the early 90s...

Move them to Houston. Half of the city is made up of Yankees.

Screw that, have you ever been to an Aeros game? I have, think there were like 50 other people there.

Famed for having its creepy mascot beat up by a coach.

Phoenix to Seattle
Atlanta to Hamilton

Problem solved.
