Wut I'm saying is it's much better to get your bell rung than get hit in the knees.

Concussion = 1-2 weeks
Knee injuries = up to a whole season

I don’t think targeting is a bad rule if applied correctly and consistently.

Any player purposely targeting the head of their opponent should get tossed. Problem
Is that players are getting tossed and suspended for safe textbook tackles.

Rule needs major adjustment.

Should be just a 15 yd penalty...only do an ejection if it's totally egregious. I agree otherwise it's ridiculous

Don’t hit his head with your head. Pretty simple. If it’s hard, you have to change your form.

Also, it really shouldn't even be relevant since concussions are pretty minor injuries - usually a week out, maybe 2. It's always the knees that are the real killers.

The NFL isn't in lawsuits for knee injuries.

The lawsuits are why targeting exists, and the NFL's desire for video game scoring is why the roughing passer penalties have gotten so bad.

What if the offensive player changes direction at the last second, causing a head to head collision?

every one is reviewed so how can you miss them? I assume you could miss one because it was not called but the reply both has a shot at it too.

Yeah

It should be a personal foul

The majority of targeting calls are unintentional since the defensive player is already in motion and can’t always decelerate quickly enough to avoid hitting the other player

100% of every football play have opposing players helmets touching. Going by your ignorant statement, every lineman should be ejected on when their helmets touch.

75% of tackles have helmets touching. Devin White in no way lowered his head. He pulled up at contact and used his arms.

Ask last night’s crew at the LSU game. It’s beyond ridiculous.

Yeah. Simple.

Dudes who have been playing the game for decades and make millions doing it haven’t been able to warp their bodies like they’re in the matrix to avoid any head contact ever, but I’m sure they’re just not trying hard enough.

Then don’t sign up to play. No one is forcing them.
