Its easily the most abused and moscalled rule out there and the fact it fricken carrys over to the next game is an even bigger load of crap. Then you have how the SEC is pretty much totally abusing the rule to benefit Bama and it's about time to ditch it and re write it.

Where the frick was there helmet to helmet

Don't forget that you have a t-sip as the head of replay in the SEC...so naturally A&M is flagged almost 200% more for targeting than any other SEC team, most of which are flags AFTER REVIEW.

Agreed 100%. At the VERY LEAST make it take 2 for an ejection, like unsportsmanlike.

ETA: this isn't just about Devin White. I've even groaned at a few that have gone against our opponent because they're ruining the game.

Ejecting players for the next game is the dumbest shite ever.

Yeah A&M has gotten some bullshite ones this year for sure, I just assume at this point Donovan Wilson is getting one if he's playing.

There was a game today - I think the Indiana game.

The Indiana player went low to make a clean knee wrap tackle.

At the last minute, the opposing receiver dipped his head so low it was below his knees...the receivers helmet collided with the DB's helmet and the refs called targeting, reviewed it and ejected the player.

I honestly don't know what defenders can do these days.

We've been called for targeting more this season than in 2015-2017 combined.

The subjective way the rule is applied is insane.

You'd never see a call like that against bama before a big game.

Just sayin

For an ejectable offense, there is WAY too much inconsistency with the call.

The fact that a 2nd half call carries over into the next game is asinine.

There needs to be level of targeting like the punter. You have running into the punter and roughing the punter.

The hits that are football plays that meet the targeting rule should be allowed to stay in the game.

The blatant headhunting should be an ejection. Its that simple.

The rule needs major reform. Nobody knows what the hell targeting even is anymore.

Any hard hit the flag comes out and whether or not they keep it or waive it off seems like a coin flip.

There should be no ejection from the next game. With CTE, targeting and roughing the passer will never go away

They almost called targeting on a Tulsa player today for colliding with one of our players while going after a fumble, but reversed it.

Probably the dumbest flag I’ve ever seen thrown regardless if it stood or not.

That's all just a big cash grab - a study came out recently that showed no reason to believe football causes CTE.

Also, it really shouldn't even be relevant since concussions are pretty minor injuries - usually a week out, maybe 2. It's always the knees that are the real killers.
