Can someone explain to me why I as an LSU fan should cheer for SEC teams?

I just don’t understand why one would cheer their direct competitors on. It’s like Walmart cheering on Target to have record sales.

This season more money for LSU is the benefit.
For the future it’s for the SEC to be viewed in a better light if LSU is in playoff contention again.
Is that worth giving Saban/Kirby/etc even more ammo for recruiting? I don’t think so.

I was over the cheering for the SEC when Auburn lost to FSU in 2013.

Because Florida blowing OSU out in 06 allowed LSU to blow them out in 07. The SEC dominating for over a decade will give any SEC school the benefit of doubt.
