So can you explain to me what the assistant basketball coach for UHigh does who sits on the bench during the games on his phone for the entire game?
Can you? Uhigh is also under public domain through the LSU system.. They are essentially a Magnet program that requires tution.

All you "Private schools cheat" types are good at running your mouths, but can't ever have action taken to address it. Same for all the public school supporters and principals. If it's happening as you all say, then report it. Get Curtis or Evangel investigated and fined; force them to live within the rules if you're so damned certain.
If it's as obvious as some of you assert that it is, it should take a good P.I. inside of a week to prove it.

LOSER bullshite and I'm a product of public schools. Public schools have the benefit of being free. all you have to do is not suck at life (see Texas Public Shools) and you will blow away the privates. Before you start with the scholarship programs, there are a few aids handed out but the VAST majority of private school kids pay every cent of their tuition. Lastly, go look at Notre Dame. Somebody should fire their recruiting coordinator.
Many of us struggle paycheck-to-paycheck, grossing too much to qualify for aid, but barely having enough to pay tuition. And YES, I want my son in a Catholic environment.

It's an Ipad, he is using a program similar to gamechanger to help chart the game.

Curtis has more random checks than any school in the state and has never been found in violation of the rules.
The LHSAA is essentially punishing thousands of kids because one school does things so well that people are banging on his door to get in.

Privates are mad because the votes of the majority outnumber the votes of the minority. And their votes should count more because they have more money and because, dammit, they're special.
Oh, and they are going to take their ball and go away. And send recruiters back to the parking lots of the public school to show those meanies.

i bet 99% of the posters in this thread bashing this went to private school.

And if that is so? What do you expect, just roll over and have your interests not represented? That would be utter stupidity to continue and expect different, better results.
And what's it to you, then, Methusaleh, if the privates do separate. Or, in your disparaging voice...."take their ball and go home?" You've indicated no other solution, and nothing but disdain for the privates in both of these threads on here, and the one from a few years ago. Oh, you preface it with "no dog in this hunt" or "I sent my kids to private schools" but the rest of your posting is nothing but vitriol and a sense of 'who needs you, anyway?'

Wait...what interests? Does it really matter to you if, as a private school parent, your kid gets to beat everyone? Grow up.

Public school graduate and I think it's crap. This is just saying that if you can't beat em, change the rules. Crappy lesson to teach kids.
In life, there are winners and losers. There are no medals for participation.

Yep. But don't let the facts get in the way of a good martyrdom.

No its not. You should have to compete by the SAME rules.

Crusader Band ALWAYS wins. And the football team, doesn't. Nor does the basketball team. It's not about my kids' school winning everything on the field.
"Grow up" Oh my, I'm sorry to offend you that you have to resort to that.

So if your kid wins the state title under this split, whats the problem?

Yea, facts always get in the way of a good time. The app is extremely helpful. We use it and it has huge benefits.
We should ban them since Privates are more likely able to afford them.

Many fans who have posted on this issue these last three or four years, think that the competition is a bit diluted, now, some will assert that the championships are tainted because of this.
They state that 9 football championships are way too many for a state this size. The select division I has all of 12 teams in it, and 7 of them are in the same district. It broadens down the divisions, but they're not all full brackets of 32, either. In the case of the select divisions, there simply aren't enough schools for the structure as it currently is.
The non-selects have five classes, and if you look at the bottom halves of the brackets you have not just bad teams, you have awful teams, cannon fodder, quite a few with only 1 or 2 wins. How does that help the competition in those classes?
For the record, my son doesn't play any of these sports, we're fans who want to see the best teams compete against each other in the playoffs.
