The whole gay thing (true, bi, or not) is mainly so a group of people can feel better than him despite him having accomplished more than 99% of people ever will. It allows Bubba in a Walker trailer park, who has never held a job for more than a month and never had more than one paycheck's worth of money at any one time, to feel superior.
