I'm making my first trip to Globe Life Field to see them play the Astros later this month. Any tips I should know before I go?

Texas Live is badass. Nothing I’d suggest outside of that besides maybe going to Hurtado BBQ downtown if you are coming on a Saturday or Sunday.

The whole facility is cards only, no cash. There are reverse ATMs to convert cash to card.

Usher told us that if you are there early, like during BP, you can go check out the lower level seating area even without a ticket for that area. Closer to game time, must have a ticket to get on the elevator down there.

There are bars and restaurants right at the entrance, if you want to go there and pregame.

Many hotels in the area are on a trolley route to/from the park. Ask at the front desk for pass cards and what time it stops there. Sometimes it will be full when it gets there, so we elected to walk to the game early, but hopped on the correct color coded (yellow pass card; get on yellow line) trolley afterward to get back. They line up near the main entrance.

It was actually a pretty funny joke
My title just said Rangers fans about an hour ago but I edited it to Texas Rangers to make more sense

Very nice but pretty soulless.

No, it doesn't have a roof. After the first month of the season the games are unwatchable due to the heat and sun

Go to Babes chicken at for lunch if you can, then head to the ball park early for BP. Your tickets can be scanned leaving the stadium to allow you entrance back in if you leave before the first pitch. We usually do BP then head to Texas live for a little before heading back in for game time.

Agree completely. I always enjoy hanging out there.

Wish the Astros did something like this around their stadium.

I think Crane bought then demolished the row of bars across the street (Homeplate etc.) to work on something similar.
