The mvp vote will be interesting. The actual best player vs a switch hitting catcher with 60hr will be quite the conundrum for voters

How far baseball has fallen, a sports fan like me who has basically stopped paying attention to baseball only vaguely is aware of Raleigh's existence

Matches Babe Ruth for the 3rd most HRs in AL history.

How many games did Ruth have?

Ruth hit his 60th home run in his 150th game; he played in 151 games of a 154-game schedule. He hit 60 in the second-to-last game of their season.

Cal hit his 60th in his 155th game, 158 games into the season that has 162 games.

Really impressive to hit 60 in todays game. I wonder how long he will continue to play catcher.

It is impressive what he has done, along with Judge. Joining a list of now only 4 players to hit 60 HR's (non-PED's).

Will we get a live break in to all sporting events as he chases the AL HR record?

Yes but they play late Saturday night.

Maybe they’ll cut into the 4th quarter of Bama/UGA to show him strikeout in his first AB

They probably won’t cut into NFL on Sunday unless he is going for 63

and is mid as a catcher

It's not that he is a great catcher by metrics that makes it impressive. Sure it would be more impressive if he was a top tier defensive catcher but it's the fact that he has to go through that grind every game. Being a mid catcher is much more impressive and harder than being a good right fielder. It's just a lot harder on your body and effects the game more.

When the automated balls/strikes happen, Judge is going to hit 65+

Hypotheticals for seasons in the future have absolutely nothing to do with this years MVP race.

Thanks. Appreciate the info. Baseball records are legit unlike any new NFL records.

Of Raleigh’s 60hr, only 48 would have left Yankee stadium. These were mostly HRs hit on the road.

Judge also has a high no-doubter % on his HRs.

52.9% vs 46.7%

Congrats to BIG DUMPER. In another timeline he’s unanimous MVP. Unfortunately for him he plays at the same time as THE JUDGE. Tremendous season nonetheless.

What a worthless point. A home run counts the same no matter it just clears the fence or it goes another 100 feet. So that’s not a calculation of MVP. Raleigh did not hit 60 home runs at T-Mobile, Judge did not hit all of his at Yankee stadium, so who cares if 48 of 60 would leave Yankee stadium. These are all a huge stretch of worthless info. Hank Aaron award is for Judge. MVP is for Raleigh. A gold glove catcher who has hit 60 home runs and got a team to a division title for the first time since 2001 is more of a value to a team than a guy who puts up offensive stats but doesn’t really offer anything in defense on one of the highest payroll teams in baseball.

The fan who caught it gave it to a kid. Hope they hook that fan up.

And also, don’t cite park factors if you don’t want this “worthless” info picked apart.

60 homers while catching nine innings per night, versus standing in the outfield catching 5 baseballs a night.

In the dugout, Removing and reinstalling gear, and prepping pitchers for up coming innings versus eating sunflower seeds.

My god. He’s playing catcher, not storming the beaches of Normandy. No disrespect to BIG DUMPER, but he’s Adam Dunn with Megan Thee Stallion’s knees.

Raleigh is homer or strikeout

Are you really talking about this as if there is some huge difference between the 2?
Cal has a .262 %K, which is tied for 119
Judge has at .237 %K, which is 99th
