Y’all need to fix tailgating. That’s how you will fix the attendance problem. Seriously, the tailgating y’all have is down right pathetic. Cue blaming the admin and parking.

You're not wrong here. Over monetizing the entire tailgating and parking setup killed the GameDay atmosphere . There are ways to fix it or at least improve it but they have been recommended to the admin ad nauseam and nothing has changed there

Best food in the world. Fun people. Wasting away.

But do greatly appreciate teaching Baton Rouge people your cooking ways. Part of why LSU is among the best tailgating scene. Doing the lords work.

So any college that can't replicate Tiger stadium electric atmosphere, shouldn't improve their facilities? Just a dumb response by you.
WTF do you care if they improve the stadium. Better facilities attract better coaches, players, and more fans. I hope they do well

Way back in the 80s I played a year at USL. We were not good, I was not good. The only decent crowd I remember was vs McNeese.

The stadium could only hold roughly 20k last season due to construction. A few games including the SBC Championship were not half full. That would be less than 10k. Also the student turnout at ULL games is embarrassing. Not pointing and laughing at y’all, just saying. Should be easy to fix but damn y’all are struggling with fandom over there. But hopefully walker howard fixes that for y’all being a local kid.

ESPN+

I can say the same for LSU games (I know I know, they bring obviously bring more fans) compared to what they used to be. Unless Bama or Ole Miss come to town, the upper decks are a lot more sparse these days; and the stadium empties out by midway thru the second half.

Show me where I posted anything remotely close to this dumbass. Good for them for upgrading the stadium.

You sound like a Blanco crew LSU hater? Newsflash, LSU doesn't give a shite about UL and what they do, they hate Tulane, and its been that way for a LONG TIME.

I like it. It’s similar to App State and other SBC programs. You can have a nice stadium with modern amenities without feeling the need to have a high capacity number.

IMO, UL should follow the LSU method and always play at least one Louisiana team OOC. There’s too many options nearby to bring in Toledo or whoever.

I’d rotate Mcneese, Southern, Grambling, Southeastern, northwestern, and Nicholls. It’s only one OOC game it couldn’t hurt. Gives Lafayette a chance to host out of town guests. Way more guests from instate teams would come instead of MAC or mountain west guests.

LSau fans get jealous when others in Louisiana improve, for some demented reason.

It’s a small portion of LSU fans. It’s the guys who for whatever reason view anything non LSU as a threat which in itself is laughable.

Went to UL and LSU. Loved my time at both places. The town of Lafayette is hard to beat. LSU gamedays in the fall and spring at the box are hard to beat. Going to UL and being close enough to still attend any LSU sporting event is nice.

Can’t do that in Ruston or Monroe that’s for sure. There are some numbnut UL die hards who hate that concept but hey sorry it’s Louisiana and LSU will always be king.

So what we’ve done every year since 2013 with the exception of 2019 and screwy 2020 season?

Those are all FBS programs you’re referring to here. Something McNeese, NW St, etc aren’t at this time.

Have to disagree a bit here. Most people around here do not care about any of those opponents except maybe Rice. I suppose Tulsa maybe.

I think for all the G6 programs having better geographically aligned conferences is what's needed. Playing LA Tech, Southern Miss, McNeese, Houston, etc more often would help some. Still need to do the work to improve the experience with tailgating and all that which others mentioned in prior posts. But more localized opponents are really needed. But perhaps there is no choice with the way the conferences and tv money work.
