Anyone here ever done it?

After seeing Nuggs latest video takes on Barstool and Stu Fiener got me thinking.

I thought it was pretty much common knowledge these guys are scam artists. I don't get the outrage here.

If these guys had 1000% slam dunk locks like they say why wouldn't they just bet them and be sitting on a beach somewhere?

Its pretty well documented the best in the world hit at a ~58% clip.. so where's the long-term +EV come from buying picks?

I do think Stu is funny af but wouldn't never send that guy $$$

I hate them because I had to produce their shows, run their ads and book them as guests when I worked in sports radio.

They are liars. They'd give out picks on the radio that would go 1-4 for a weekend then come back on the air on Monday and say they cleaned up and went 4-1 or 5-0. No accountability at all. And when someone would call them out they'd resort to some gimmick or smoke and mirrors tactic, i.e. "I went 4-1 on my GUARANTEED plays!" which of course were not given out on the show.

They are idiots mentally as well. Not the brightest bulbs, low IQ types.

My video calling out Pick Dawgz really pissed them off - they've been blowing up my phone, email, socials since I uploaded it. Threatening me with legal action and all. It's because deep down they know that their business model can't operate with people like me exposing the truth about their operations.

No way. They are a scam. Your dog could pick just as many winners.

Gambling and the associated businesses created around it are designed to separate you from your money period. The only winners are the ones you give your money to.

I have never understood the concept of buying tout info to gamble with. If they knew what they were about, they would be wealthy enough to not have to peddle their info.

Hmm. Had no idea you were in radio before. Yeah all these pickers are just click bait. I do like to see and hear all the different opinions though.

The wagertalk podcast rotates ab 12 or so cappers through each week. Old school guys like Teddy Covers, Dave Cokin, etc. They give away the "top of the funnel" best bets "5% plays", etc.

If I get a free best bet from one of these guys that doesnt hit, it isn't gonna make me want to buy their picks. So I disagree with you there.

Your Pick Dawgs video riled them up... going after Barstool is a different level tho. Good thing you're out of Vegas i guess?

It’s all about presentation. You have to project confidence and look like an expert. And that’s what sells. Wagertalk would have a group of touts. And mathematically, someone would have a winning streak. They would take that streak and promoted it as “3 straight winning weeks” or “19-4 this month in nfl” or “#1 capper on nba”. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Warren Sharp is a lot different than a tout though. You don't see him bragging on Twitter every second and he also very knowledgeable in statistics.

104.5 had some awful national sports betting show on Saturday mornings during football season. They literally said “Just get a few thousand dollars together and you can turn it to $80,000 after the Monday Night Game” Yeah, it’s that easy to get a 25-40x return betting on college and pro football

Yes that’s why we chose him. He also has simulation write ups.

My only issue is with him is that he will sometimes send out picks that are like 1-2 points off of what my site has. I’ve seen him send out an under that was 5 points higher than our site has posted lol.

But yeah, overall he has been good. I bet he is close to 70% this football season, both college and NFL.

Thats why touts are scum even Warren Sharp.

If a tout is not respected then he will not move lines when he releases his picks, therefore the market does not fear his picks and they are worthless so they are selling a worthless slate of picks to suckers

If the tout is respected then he will move lines as soon as his picks are released and therefore the customers will have to buy a bad number which will eat away at any edge the tout has

Warren Sharp knows this yet he sells picks anyway... trash
