Wasn’t he cut right after this happened?

No, the Heat kept him around because his contract had value in a trade. Traded him a week or two after the incident. So if you have value teams will overlook this stuff.

And then he got cut?
I also see he was suspended for a week? Is KD suspended too? JW

I've actually seen this a few times. Guess I either missed it or didn't pay attention to it when it was said.

Because it is used prolifically in all of them.

Yes, KD is going to be treated differently by his team than Meyers Leonard in similar situations.

You're pissing in the wind.

Here are his canned responses:

"I've never seen that movie."

"I've seen that movie but don't remember that word."

"You only know that word because you are racist/hang out with racists."

You won't convince him of anything he doesn't already believe because he doesn't want to be conviced.

Save your energy.

Why should Durant and Leonard share the same fate. One is an all-time great and the other is not much more than trade bait, physically speaking. What happened to Leonard since the trade was mostly because he's not very good on his best day. Leonard wasn't even used last season in their playoff run.

Miles Leonard had shoulder surgery in February and was out of action period. The OKC franchise gave up Trever Ariza mostly to get a draft pick. Again, Miles Leonard isn't that good to start with and now he's physically unable to perform even if he wanted to.

Miles Leonard, whom the NBA fined $50,000 for an anti-Semitic slur last week, had to waive his no-trade clause on his two-year contract, which included a team option for 2021-22. That will eventually be declined as part of a procedural matter in completing the deal.

Sounds like Leonard knows he screwed up by the numbers and a lot of what has happened since his remarks have been with his blessings.

Oh so more important people don’t have to suffer the same punishments as other?

Mostly unrelated, but I would love to peek into an alternate timeline where it wasn't Kaepernick who did the kneeling, but 2015 MVP-version Cam Newton

and look i agree with the "somebody in the mid-20s likely doesn't fully understand the word" argument

but that legit applies to Myers Leonard, too. i imagine the g-word is in more consumed media than the k-word

Yeah, I agree with all this

Much like Kaep, Leonard broke the cardinal rule of causing more shite than his value is worth.

The answer is there. You just chose to not quote it. Works for Ostriches and football fans I guess. They both got a 50,000 dollar fine out of the deal. Can't get much fairer than that.

Yes I know.
Better players get away with more shite.
Like doing business with countries that kill Muslims

Have you detected a double standard in life? Let me count the ways? More new light, so do better workers. I'm guessing it has something to do with overall value to the business and emotional tolerance levels.
