It should never happen even without fans.
It's the first fricking hole for one of the final groups at the US Open. They don't have enough Marshalls and TV cameras out there to spot where it landed? What are they doing?

What a joke the PGA let this happen. But, let’s make certain we are soaking the scoring table in Clorox and that the marshalls all masks. On the 1st tee no less. Total embarrassment
