From @gmfb: The #Browns are expected to be able to trade WR Josh Gordon before 4 pm today and the trade compensation should be legit.

Josh Gordon makes just $790K this year & is an RFA next year — 2 years of control. If the compensation is a conditional pick based on games played or something similar, it could climb to a mid-rounder. Browns in a good spot.

Anyways, a source just told me at least "8 to 10 teams have called" the #Browns inquiring about potentially trading for WR Josh Gordon. Some teams r adamant abt not wanting it known their organization is calling, I'm told. Clear reasons to be tight. I've heard about some though.

Who gets him? I just read that the Eagles just lost WR Mike Wallace for a good bit of time to an ankle injury.

Why are they getting rid of him again? He just played in week one against the Steelers.

The Browns provided no details behind their decision to part ways with Gordon, but a source told ESPN's Chris Mortensen on Saturday that Gordon broke the team's "trust" when he reported to the facility Saturday with a hamstring issue after being a full participant in practice all week. The source said there were other "mitigating factors" inclusive of current and past incidents.

I also saw a few tweets saying he showed up late to a meeting and was "not himself", hinting that he was on stuff again. No idea.

Arizona & Dallas are frontrunners for sure. Both in desperate need of WR talent on the cheap

Arizona should if they think Fitzgerald can groom Gordon.

Dallas, New England both need WRs

To start a bidding war?

If they release him he won’t be nearly as cheap as he will be a free agent and you don’t have those two years of cheap control.

The substance abuse rumors seem like speculation as nobody would be giving significant compensation for him. Probably just enough petty shite that it was straw that broke camels back type deal.

There is no more physically gifted WR in the nfl than Gordon. But they’re probably just over it.

The Cowboys are crazy if they don’t take a flyer on him as cheap as the cost appears to be

Where are ya’ll hearing that Dallas is in for him?

Only national media has said he wants to come to Dallas, but nothing about Dallas wanting him.

Everything here local says Dallas has no interest in him and the only receiver move we are making is Brice Butler.

We've seen the Cowboys' offense. They need a guy like Gordon.

I completely agree and hope we are someone calling, but we have been let down time and time again by at least one pothead. I find it hard to believe we’d put trust into another one.

Granted, his contract is so team friendly it’s worth the risk.

Not sure why I haven’t seen Seattle mentioned yet

Baldwin is going to be an injury concern all year long

Chiefs should make a splash. Not that they are in desperate need of Gordon but good god, mahommes can put the ball in anywhere on a field, with Gordon and Hill on a field, good night.
