You mean you're not impressed by Bronny's career night that came when the team scored 58 total points in a loss verses an electric Clippers AAU summer league offense led by Yanic Konan Niederhause, Zavier Simpson, and Jordan Miller? This clearly proves that Bronny is elite and deserved to be drafted and nepotism had nothing to do with it.

You don’t need to be elite to be drafted 55th

They suck.

He is the second best 55th pick on the last decade. It doesn’t mean that is an argument for him being elite

Can we do the same with you and golf since you said uphill putts aren’t easier than downhill putts?

If so I will agree. Up to you

I simply didn’t know mvp had been announced at the time, you fully were dumb as shite on a basic golf principle

Because you don’t follow the league and never played basketball in your life and still think you’re an expert…. Because you’re an insane person

You thought a downhill putt was made the same as uphill putts

That’s dumb as ever loving shite and proves you never have ever played golf which you have made your sport identity here and you give more opinions than anyone

One of the most basic fundamental aspects of the game you got 100% wrong

For some reason you just don't get the fact that he did not deserve to be drafted 55th. He did absolutely nothing to earn that selection. He was drafted because his dad was on the Lakers/nepotism. It's really not that hard to understand. Summer league and G-League literally means shite. And his NBA experience is a joke seeing as he wouldn't get a single minute if he were on any other team without his dad on it. He didn't earn his draft spot and sure as hell didn't earn NBA minutes. G-League MVP's get less minutes than Bronny has gotten.

I don't DV you to death like everyone else on here and we've had good debates on here, but I'm sorry if you didn't even know who the MVP of the NBA was this year, you lose pretty much any credibility in a modern NBA discussion.

What melts? Are people acting like pick up games in Vegas somehow make Bronny good?

If he can do something of actual value in a meaningful nba game then you can start having this conversation. Kid is ta prime example of a nepobaby until then.

When you draft a 55th lick you might as well light in on fire

They drafted someone who was actually a very high recruit coming out of high school that had a fricking near death cardiac experience in college and then had a top performance at the combine

Tell me why it makes more sense to pick a 4 year college guy you know will never ever make it like every other year instead of picking the above?

Because “he deserves it”?

Thats mingo being full of shite. I said “SGA, the likely MVP winner” during the playoffs when it was announced a week before he won. I just didn’t realize it already was announced

People also don't seem to get that at that part of the draft, its not uncommon for players to negotiate and posture and do what they can to go undrafted so they can choose their team via free agency

Austin Reaves for example

Manu Ginobili 57th overall
Marc Gasol 48th overall
Paul Milsap 47th overall
Isiah Thomas 66th overall
Luis Scola 55th overall
Dillon Brooks 45th overall

No he wasn’t

He was like the 30th rated recruit in his class, which is like a 3 star in football. And that was propped up by being lebrons son.

He’s a nice college basketball player at a decent power conference team.

And you think this INCREASES his draft stock? A guy with a previous history of cardiac issues does not help his stock, it hurts it due to the inherent risk. I don't know why yall keep bringing this up as a positive, it's retarded. Even dumber than thinking his combine made a difference. Wow, he had the 6th highest standing vertical! I'm sure that just blew everyone away.

He could have had the worst combine in the history of the NBA combine and he still would have been drafted 55th by the Lakers. They were the only team interested in drafting him and that was for one reason. He could have averaged 1ppg in college (just slightly lower than his actual average), and the Lakers still would have drafted him 55th.

You serious? Four year/multiple year guys are more ready to come in and give an impact at the end of the bench than a low ceiling, low skill, raw talent guy.

In a non Lebron world, Bronny would have been undrafted and maybe signed with a G-League team and got some G-League minutes and been out of the League in a few years. If he developed, maybe called up a few times to sit at the end of the bench to fill a roster spot. In a the current world with Lebron as his dad, he gets drafted by the Lakers and is actually getting NBA minutes because that's what his dad wants. It's pretty simple.

At what % rate at the end of the second round ?

That’s extremely rare at the end of the second round for a player to have an impact. It’s finding a needle in a haystack

You have to pick (or trade the pick), you might as well try to pick someone that could help you, instead of taking an undersized guard that in no way shape or form is a rotation NBA player. Not that hard of a concept
