It was a major choke with the game on the line

depends

I would say choke if a man was wide open and he then shite the bed

horrible DECISION doesn't = choke. horrible choice to throw that pass isn't a choke, it's a bad decision. trying to make a play, ill advised but not really a choke

Yep, that game was over early, and everyone knew it.

Packers losing to the Eagles in 04 was a huge choke job. GB was outscored 20-3 in the second half/OT and gave up a 4th and 26 that led to a tying FG.

This is what I was looking for. That game was just aweful. I just couldn't think of anything in the last 10 years or so that seemed comparable to this Denver game.

I remember the Oilers/Bill as well, I guess I was 12. That had suck, but seems like ancient history now.

Champ Bailey is so damn lucky that no one is talking about him. He got absolutely roasted by Torrey Smith.

Exactly. Its all on Rahim Moore instead.

it should never be on one guy either, it is a team sport.

People are locally, I guess not so much nationally. Champ's performance hardly went unnoticed.

I've watched Bailey his entire career. Sunday was his worst effort. Maybe Father Time is catching up with him.

I'm almost as pissed about the lack of pressure we put on Flacco. He had all day to throw and the results show it. DelRio didn't make any adjustments during the game that made a difference.

one person in my mind is to blame for this. CHAMP fricking Bailey. what a jackass for thinking he could even keep up with a stud like Torrey Smith. yea the coaches should have put somebody over the top at all times, giving champ some help, but its still his fault for talking all this shite prior to the game and couldnt back it up.

Yup. It was eerily similar to watching the big LSU games, like CFA Bowl and Bama at the end. Maybe it's bc they are the teams I pay the most attention too, but it was as if everything that worked in got you to this point was thrown out the window.

IDK, I don't buy this "we were in shock" so ran out the clock business. You are not a high school, or even college team. You're the Denver F'in Broncos with Peyton F'in Manning. Get up and try to win the game and get the 40 yards you need.

FYI, this is the end of season letter from Bowlen...

quote:

Dear Season Ticket Holder:

I write this letter to summarize my thoughts on the 2012 season and to thank you for your tremendous support this year.

Saturday's playoff loss to the Baltimore Ravens was a gut-wrenching disappointment for everyone who loves the Denver Broncos. It marked a bitter end to an otherwise successful season.

I feel terrible for our players, coaches and staff who put forth maximum effort throughout the year. They accomplished many great things while falling short of our ultimate goal.

But most importantly, my heart aches for you.

The energy and enthusiasm you provided us this past year were infectious and carried us to great accomplishments. Your passionate backing allowed us to ascend as the season progressed. To have it end so suddenly is certainly most painful for you.

As the owner of a football team that belongs to this region, city and the greatest fans in professional sports, I share and understand the deep disappointment that you still must feel today.

In the early stages of reflection, one thing stands clear—Your support is unwavering.

Since the day I bought this team through the moment you finished cheering your hearts out in the freezing cold of Saturday's game, that has always been the case. Please know that I am humbled by this support and I am forever grateful for it.

I said publicly last year that I wanted 2012 to be a great season, not just a good season. We certainly had a very good season and perhaps exceeded a few expectations.

But Broncos fans, you and I know what a great season looks like.

That is why I'll soon stop reflecting and start working on one thing for 2013—bringing another Super Bowl victory back to Denver. As we move forward, I am extremely optimistic with the future of our team.

From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for the passion, enthusiasm and overwhelming support you gave us this past season.

Sincerely,

Why would the offense be in shock? Something else had to be going on. That was a bazaar explanation by Fox.

How much in shock were the Falcons after blowing a 20 point 4th quarter lead? I know that they were down, and had to try and score, but the point is if anybody was in shock, it should have been them. They just lost the lead with 31 seconds left. The Broncos did not lose the lead.

Why is it so shocking to everyone that Champ Bailey got beaten a couple times by one of the fastest players on the Ravens squad? It doesn't really surprise me. I doubt Chris Harris or Tony Carter could've covered him, either.

Even though he got beat, we still had the game under wraps until Rahim Moore went into derp-mode and gave up a 60-70 yard bomb with 30 seconds left.

Bad Coaching.

Should have been guarding the out of bounds line and three deep safeties. Anything caught and tackled in the field of play was ok.... There was only 35 seconds left with no timeouts.
