That place would have been electric if he sank it on the first try. Even one in the first 3-5 would have been great. Missing 9 or however many he missed was the problem.

Lose what exactly? Why would a true competitor be afraid to fail?
This " afraid to fail" mentality is probably why 2 of the 3 best players( Durant & Lebron) in the League have bailed on their teams.
