He will be fine. Serena Williams, Nelly Korda and others recover from this relatively quickly

As it relates to Bosh it wasn’t the DVT that caused his long time issues but his underlying disease he had

I'm sure being freakishly tall and lean doesn't help with issues like this.

He's 7'3 with extremely long arms. Unless there's some kind of medical intervention or physical therapy innovation, it's not good for someone with his build to have these kinds of health issues at such a young age.

It was the number question about him. Can his body hold up?

A reason you didn’t mention the tennis player?

This isn’t all that uncommon for pro athentes. NBA and hockey it’s prettt regular and tennis sees its fsir share due to the long travel as well

There was a year I think 5 nba players got a DVT

Obviously you don’t want it to happen, but the overall prognosis is positive

DVT in the upper-body is different from the more common lower body leg/calf like Chris Bosh.

Repetitive motion or an injury can cause DVT in the shoulder/arm area. Thoracic Outlet Syndrome can also be an underlying issue resulting in DVT in the shoulder.

So his primary issue might be TOS.

Damn. When I said he may struggle to stay healthy from injuries in his career, this is definitely not what I had in mind.

They claim he is all better, but i think he takes a blood thinner or some other medication to mitigate clots. That has to impact energy level and add to injury risk / recovery time.

Dont think he's ever taken blood thinners while playing. He had the blood clot, got on blood thinners and was out rest of the 2019 season. Never had an issue after that. Was an All-Star and most improved player in the 2020 season with the pelicans.

Playing well tonight so far.
