He’s actually a good example of blacks being too dumb to get one

Well yeah, but Georgia is the only one that passed a new one.
frick, thought everyone was already boycotting Georgia for some abortion law a couple years ago. Didn't that one get struck down as well?

Watch Kemp cave. He's a pretty spineless cuck.

Seriously, why is it a big deal to have someone present a valid id to cast a vote in an election? How is that voter suppression? Anyone can go to the dmv and get an identification card.
It’s pretty tough to engage in ballot harvesting when the law requires you to show an ID to cast a vote.
It’s got nothing to do with “voter suppression”

This recent update simply means that for an absentee ballot to be cast you have to include ID along with it. You literally write your drivers license/state ID number on the ballot instead of signing it.
This is simply bringing absentee voting into line with in person voting.
The law also expanded early in person voting, and changed the wording of the hours of in person early voting from "normal business hours" to "9AM to 5PM" and still allows for the early voting locations to be open from 7AM to 7 PM if the county wishes. All polling places are still open 7 - 7 on election day.

Plus, normal folks have been priced out of going.
Yep. I was thinking about going but when I saw the prices I immediately drove that thought out of my mind. Good riddance.

Answer the question: why is it voter suppression to ask for an ID? Do you have an answer or not?

I'm mean ya. They basically want to go back to Jim Eagle laws

My understanding is it’s not what the law restricts but that a law was rushed through enacting new restrictions on ID, ballot boxes, absentee voting, handing out food and water in voting lines, etc when there is no legitimate evidence that large scale voter fraud is an issue. It’s a petty reaction by state republicans to the pro-democrat results of the presidential and senate elections.
My personal feeing is that legal avenues were used in the November elections to flip the state and now legal avenues have been used to strike back. If that pisses you off, vote against your state rep and Kemp. Pulling an MLB all star game just screws over and tiles up the bipartisan fanbase in the state who just wants to have something to do in July. But hey, maybe that was the whole point...

It’s pretty anti-liberal to oppose measures to secure our election system. Why do you support anti-democratic measures?

That takes time and money though.
It takes time and money to file my taxes. Can I opt out of that as well?

Ballot boxes weren't ever a thing until the pandemic..this bill preserves them for all future elections...it just sets a limit on the number per county. But without a pandemic, you wouldn't need 40 in Fulton County.
The bill also expanded the early voting window significantly.
I can't take anyone who cares about the food and water thing seriously. Bring your own drink or food, I mean jesus christ.

My understanding from reading the conversations surrounding this is that the main problem people against the bill have is the bill’s restriction of providing food or water to voters waiting in lines

Over 40 states have voter suppression bills being proposed and some of these are blue states. Good luck with that.
The people opposing these bills, mostly white people, are white supremacists, in the guise of allies. They just want your vote, and in reality they think you’re too stupid because of your skin color to perform menial tasks like getting an ID. They’ll pretend to be your ally until you’re no longer useful to them.
