Blows my mind how they put in a role player (team 4th best) over the leader of the Bucks who has the best record improvement in the NBA this year.

+ Knight beats out Korver in nearly every relevant statistic...

Brandon Knight --> 17.7 points 5.4 assists 4.2 rebounds 1.6 steals

Kyle Korver --> 12.9 points 2.7 assists 4.3 rebounds 0.7 steals

Korver is shooting over 50/50/90 and has some of the best off the ball movement in the L.

Plus, he has always been a very solid player, and it is nice to see veterans having a career year get rewarded with an ASG appearance.

Not True Shooting Percentage, or Offensive Win Shares or Value over Replacement or Offensive Box Plus/Minus, etc.

If Brandon Knight is the leader of the Bucks why are they so much better with him on the bench (-0.6 ORTG net on court, +8.4 ORTG net off court)?

If Kyle Korver is just his team's 4th best player why does their offense fall apart when he's on the bench (114.8 ORTG on court, 101.1 ORTG off court)?

Korver's offensive impact as reflected statistically is on par with MVP candidates Curry, Harden, and LeBron. In spite of Korver playing the vast majority of his minutes with the full starting lineup none of the other Atlanta starters have as pronounced of an impact. He's without a doubt deserving of an all-star selection.

Brandon Knight is a solid player but a lot of NBA players could chuck a bunch of shots and win games on the strength of the league's 4th best defense. Honestly Khris Middleton is probably their most valuable player right now and he gets basically no recognition for how good he is. To think Detroit gave him away for Brandon Jennings of all people

Korver does so much mor for the Atlanta offense than his stats show. His spacing is unbelievable and if he's in the corner it's pretty much 4 on 4 because defenders cannot help off of him. It helps the hawks so much when players drive or the ball is sent down into Millsap or Horford... So pretty much every possession Korver is on the court he helps tremendously.

All irrelevant and matchup/scheme based - Reason he starts and leads team

So two individuals provide widely used and valued metrics that show why Korver is a reasonable choice over Knight and your best response is that they are irrelevant? It's hard to value a viewpoint that refuses to acknowledge a logical counter argument.

There is a reason D Wade openly said that Brandon Knight deserves the spot and he wants him to have it...

Who would you rather have to build a franchise around, Knight or Korver?

Wow impressively, he is not very far off not that I look... 43/41/89

It will take time for casual NBA fans to appreciate Knight's game...He is in the Milwaukee market unfortunately for him.

It is a contract year for him though..

I agree. Kyle Korver is one of the best role players in the NBA. But that's not what the All-Star game is about. Korver is the type of guy who can make a very good team great. Knight can make a bad team good. That's what stars do.

The Bucks are my favorite NBA League Pass team. They have so much young talent that is on the brink of exploding. Wouldn't surprise me if they were an elite team next year.

They are great to watch...If they can keep Knight next year and Jabari returns in good shape...they will be dangerous (adding the way Giannis is developing)

It's a shame Jabari can't contribute this year, would have been interesting!
