San Fran went to the nfc championship with a 3rd string rookie qb

Think about that

Loaded with talent. Brady isn't carrying a bad team to the SB anymore, but if you can give him a secure line and dominant offensive weapons, he's still a damn good QB.

Amazing that people can’t see this. All he would have to do is maybe be a tiny bit better than Brock purdy? Lol

Is a 46-year old Tom Brady better?

If yes, is that enough incremental skill to justify ~$15M of cap space that will make maintaining a loaded roster more difficult?

First question is debatable but I am inclined to say no to the latter

Because of an all time great defense. With that defense Brady probably wins it this year too

San Fran lost 4 QBs with that offense. The bigger issue would be how much a licking he can take and keep on ticking. My guess, not so much.

McCaffery, Samuel, and Kittle..a perfect trio for an aging quick release Captain Checkdown

woah woah woah there pride. Now you know you don’t ever use team awards as examples of personal success. Isn’t that the major point you always make to undermine the 7 rings brady has?

Are you saying that they got injured because of the offense that they run?

I guess no one noticed but Tom Brady looked like a shot-fighter all season.

What happens to the body and mind at 45 and beyond is well documented. It isn't that you can't do it, it's that you can't do it enough. Brady has entered George Blanda's territory.

"Blanda Territory"

Well, he was definitely distracted, demoralized AND his swag gone this year. Saw no joy. Running seemingly on "E". Bad body language.

Appeared to lose at least 20 lbs. His Divorce took more of a toll than he even imagined.

Can't see him returning. The fire that always burned in him seems to have finally been extinguished.

Manning may have won his last super bowl as the Bronco "QB"...but as its QB, he was a mere shadow of himself -- even pitiful.

The difference: Manning had the fire to play still but his body just gave out; Brady's body may not be giving out even now, but his fire & passion looks kaput.

Yeah QBing a Shanahan offense is t exactly asking you to go for 5k and 45 airing it out 40-50x a game. I think Brady would actually excel in spreading the ball out quickly to the playmakers in SF.

Brady should have stopped after his last SB win. His legacy was not in question as the greatest.
Now he is still the greatest, but a real a-hole on display. And the longer he plays the more tarnished he becomes.
