I wonder if it was those Astros fans who had tickets on the 3rd row behind home plate all weekend, who were heckling him. Crazy that a professional player can let a heckler get into his head like that lol.

The organization made him give some PC apology. It’s hilarious how media has turned this “homophobic slur” into something bigger than it actually is.

Sorry for the tiktok link. First one I found. It's a '90s SNL reference where Mark Wohlers is one of a bunch of ballplayers to show up in a kid's (played by Chris Kattan) room. Wohlers calls him a fig.

It's one of my favorite sketches ever and my friends and I still quote it to each other so the first thing that popped in my head when I saw this story was "Mark Wohlers called me a fig". I didn't think about how obscure that might seem to others
