I think it's pretty clear Boise will jump TCU. If not today, next week. They are already ahead of TCU in the human polls which is 2/3's of the BCS alone. I would imagine Fresno helped their computer rankings and Nevada will even more while TCU will take a little hit with New Mexico next week.

imagine the uproar on here if the bcs would have picked usc over lsu because the tv ratings would have been better?

Are you really comparing the NC game to a regular BCS bowl? Seriously??

Here's an idea, why doesn't Boise State actually get academics better than a JUCO and actually have an Athletic program worth a shite before trying to sit at the big boy table.

If they get left out, they get left out. The BCS' only job is to seed #1 v #2. The rest of the bowls are about who the bowls want outside of their tie-ins.

If Boise State don't like it, than they have to make tons of sacrifices. Stop bitching about getting $1 million to play a BCS big wig at their field or requiring a home and home.

Also stop playing on a retarded and arena league worthy blue turf.

LSU-tOSU would get better ratings than Alabama-Boise.

hmm, i do not think so. you might be right, but the david vs goliath story is more compelling to the typical fan, imo.

that's what they say, but Goliath vs Goliath usually gets bwetter ratings. I think Duke-Butler got the same rating as UNC-Ill those were the best since Duke-UConn.

No question though that teams like LSU, tOSU and Alabama would sell more tickets and get more fans to the bowl locations for a non-NCG.

The blue turf is a tradition at Boise State, and it's no goofier than having a horse-drawn wagon come out after every score like Oklahoma does, or rolling out the World's Largest Drum before every game like Purdue. It's a typical college football quirk.

If an SEC team is not involved in the Championship game with BSU then you can bet that most SEC fans won't watch.

Are you comparing accessories to mascots and the band to the actual freaking playing field?

Tradition?

It's been used continuously since 1986, and there's no chance of Boise going back to green turf. It's the biggest tradition Boise has.

That tells you all you need to know then and why BSU will never be considered a legit contender on a regular basis. You need a gimmick field to be your tradition.

Huh, sorry, I didn't realize tradition and field color are calculated into the BCS standings.

Oh wait, that's because they aren't.

We might not have a BCS title yet, but we've still got national Junior College and FCS championships! :P

All top-four BCS squads go no matter what. So unless you have TCU/Boise losing a game...

They are great ESPN tells them so every day of the week. I wish LSU could play the ULMs of the world week in and week out and schedule 1 tough ACC game a year and be in the national title hunt.
