just saw it, holy shite. I don't even know what to say about that

He probably knows how much shite his organization and the employees are going to get and feels guilty for putting careers in jeopardy.

Dramatic? sure, but the emotions of that game were insane and then to find out the news about KD and speak to the media about it - I can't say how I'd act if I was close to all those involved.

That being said - damn, that was so weird to watch.

Probably crying because now he’s worried KD might opt-in on his player option for next year while he rehabs and it makes it ridiculously expensive to give Klay a max deal because they’ll be so deep into the luxury tax while paying Durant $31.5 million when he’ll be out for the entire season

the knicks would still offer him the max summer of 2020 even if he returned to golden state and didn't play a game next year

Probably so, but why would you not take it now

If you’re Durant you have to opt in for that amount with a torn Achilles

So glad I stayed up for that. One of the truly bizarrely awesome moments in sports history. Even KD stopped feeling his pain and giggled a little.... well maybe not but still.

Well put. The emotional toll at this level has got to be insane. And this stage exposes every little emotion. Just wasn't expecting to see it at that juncture.

For all the folks who carp year in and year out about professional sportsmen not really caring at the end of the day, raw displays like that put the lie to that notion.

Unless your agent does their job behind the scenes and knows whether the Knicks or somebody else is willing to offer a 4 year max despite the injury. But short of that, yes he should opt in

They 100% deserve it. We heard countless times over the last month that the major risk with a calf injury is that it puts extra strain on the Achilles. Not only do they play him, but they play him almost without a break. The ESPN talkings heads knew it might be a bad idea but the team doctors didn’t? Ridiculous.

The Warriors could use an injury exception to sign someone for up to about $16m if Durant is going to be shut down for the season. It will just cost them a LOT in tax.

I've got a strong feeling KD and his team fricking lit into Myers and staff in that locker room.

For sure they ripped Myers and staff. He was crying from the shite they got from Durant’s group. They could opt in spend all next year rehabbing and talking shite about the organization rushing him back.

You could see something pop in his leg. Twitter had it zoomed in in slow motion. Freaky to see

Probably not just Myers and the trainers either.

Haven’t there been stories about the other Warriors getting pissy about Durant’s return?

Forcing yourself back before you should then tearing an Achilles makes for an interesting locker room dynamic.
