He was always known as a Michigan legend, but I don't think anyone really thought about him nearly as much as you would think.
And since this new information has come out, I haven't seen a single Michigan fan defend him. The fanbase realizes now that he wasn't the person that people thought he was.

This whole thing is weird. The man has been dead for 13 years and this just now comes out? And his abuse was often of grown arse men in their late teens and 20s?
One of the accusations involves SEVENTY SEPARATE INCIDENTS of anal rape of 17-22 year old D1 caliber wrestler who was much larger than the doctor. I don’t even know what to make of that shite. The “power dynamic” doesn’t even begin to explain that one. Who lets a man they could EASILY overpower continue to anally rape them for a period of 5 years?
And that’s not even the weirdest accusation. He apparently stuck his finger in the bunghole of a scholarship OL on numerous occasions. Like…how does that keep happening? Not one of these big burly athletes ever decided to just beat the shite out of him after about the 10th time he sexually assaulted them? This wasn’t a guy exclusively molesting small children. He was RAPING male major college athletes.

Power dynamic my arse, many of these guys will commit violent felonies over words said at a bar. Practically every FBS program in the country has one guy a year at least arrested for some sort of violent public altercation. You’re telling in the decades this guy was raping college athletes not ONE of them decided to so much as take a swing?

That definitely goes out the window when something like is accused happens. It just seems like at the very least one player would beaten the snot out of him. I can't picture football players letting this happen

It is also possible that Bo was just an old school (born in 1929), simplistic guy who felt that yes, it sounded strange what the doctor was doing, but was raised in an age where people didn't tell doctors how to practice medicine.
