Trending on Twitter: #BuffaloBlueJays (Buffalo is the home of their AAA team and they have a large fan base in Western NY)

That's great news for the players. Saved them a boatload of money.

I can’t imagine that the players are disappointed. This move saves them lots of money and from having to live in Canada.

How come hockey can be played there but not baseball?

Probably because hockey is going into a bubble unlike baseball

The NHL is having a "bubble" similar to the NBA. Both sites, Toronto and Edmonton, are in Canada. The players won't be going and coming from the U.S. to Canada and vice versa. The Blue Jays would be leaving Canada, going to the US, coming back, as would the other MLB teams. That stupid prick Trudeau acts like Canada has handled this way better than the US. They have 2 million people less in the whole damn country than California and have 1,000 more deaths than Cali. And those bastards have been in a very restrictive lockdown for four months and have built up a massive deficit spending debt. Frick those damn Canucks.

I'm pretty sure MLB built the Field of Dreams stadium in Iowa.

Move them to Iowa for the season

Buffalo's park doesn't have good lighting, would be a problem for night games

I watched some of the Yankees/Mets game yesterday and they had Dan Shulman on for a few minutes. He is now doing Blue Jays play by play. He said that Buffalo has infrastructure issues with the lights, limited locker room and workout facilities, and that it's just not a great facility for distancing.
