Black College Football HOF announces creation of HBCU Legacy Bowl

Isn’t it racist to not include white players? I don’t know of any white only bowls.

Not saying they do or don’t. Why can’t they play in the other 600 all star games. Why must they have a special all star game for black colleges. If someone started a white college and had a white only bowl game, we would have protest for that. It’s hypocritical.

HBCU’s don’t participate in the FCS playoffs or play other FCS teams that often. They usually get waxed in those matchups just as bad as when they play the FBS.
They’re basically a separate entity of garbage football.

Not sure why some of you have a problem with this. You are accepting of a league of HBCU, but not an all-star game for said league?

Excellent idea. We went to the Senior Bowl 6 or 7 times through my childhood. Easily, the best part was when The Sonic Boom of the South would rock Ladd-Peeble’s shite.

Kind of refreshing
A race-centric story that is reasonable
Kind of surprised this didn't exist already
Whether or not HBCUs have much of a place anymore is a different debate but I think it falls into the category of historical things worth preserving for historical reasons even if the conditions no longer render them particularly necessary/useful.
