Huge difference.. throw the stats out. Sayers could have set records that would be hard to match. Sims did not have that in him.

20,130 all purpose yards and they still won't let Hershel in

And they probably shouldn’t. In my unprofessional opinion, to be in the NFL HOF, there should at least be multiple seasons in your career when you would be considered Top 3 in your position.

Walker may be on the edge of that for 2-3 seasons in his career.

But that’s more seasons than Eli Manning for his position, so if Eli gets in, then Walker should as well.

I’d argue that before letting Walker or E Manning in, Roger Craig and Deron Cherry should be admitted.

Walker should be in just on value alone. What the cowboys got for him that helped them create a mini dynasty was huge. Plus he was a pretty good pro compared to how most think.plus, if he doesn’t start in the USFL we can’t be sure those Cowboy teams become as good as they were.

Its not the NFL HOF it is the Pro Football HOF, and only 5 people have 20,000+ all purpose yards

He went 30 for 157 and 3 TDs in that game and was MVP.

Technically yes but they clearly put far more emphasis on the NFL (and its direct predecessors for older players) achievements/accolades and stats. Otherwise Walker would get more consideration but the fact that’s he’s not come even close shows they don’t think too highly of these other football leagues

AFL stats are counted, but not USFL. Why?

Because the AFL was merged into the NFL but the USFL was a rival league that stayed a rival league

Over 8,200 rushing yards
Over 500 receptions
Over 5,000 KO return yards
84 career TDs

That's Herschel after the USFL
