A former Cincinnati Bengals first-round pick announced his retirement on Saturday due to a health issue.
Center Billy Price, a first-round pick in 2018, revealed Saturday that he underwent emergency pulmonary embolism surgery in April to remove a saddle clot that was entering both of his lungs.

The 29-year-old said the diagnosis was a shock, as he had previously been healthy with no known issues and no clear explanation for the sudden problem.

“This was very common before 2020, 29 year old elite athletes get pulmonary embolisms all the time”
-All of the goofy MSB hacks who run to every random death thread to set the narrative before they even have any information on the death

Damn...I wonder if he's engaged in any behaviors that have been shown to cause significant clotting issues?

Rigorous training, frequent flying.

Chris Bosh is probably the best known example of non-hereditary clot issues in a major athlete.

Is it common now?

First pulmonary embolism I’ve heard about in an athlete since Chris Bosh.
