ok last one...

He can do more. Michael Jordan could score and make big shots and look spectacular at times with wild flying dunks, but LeBron can get you 18 rebounds, get you 15 assists or score 50 if he wants to.
Its tough to argue against this, but I think he is discounting the intensity Jordan brought that rubbed off on teammates. Jordan also averaged 41/8/6 one year in the Finals. That is just outrageous. He didn't get the boards Lebron does, but he wasn't chopped liver in the other areas.

Then why doesn't he? That's my biggest problem with Lebron's game. He has no killer instinct. He would've been mentally whipped by the tougher players in MJ's era.

I think because he believes getting everyone involved gives the team a better chance to win.

So let me say: 5-for-19 … and five.
Those are Jordan's shooting numbers and turnovers in the final game of the 1996 season, when his Bulls clinched the title against Seattle. His teammates picked him up that night, as they often did on nights when he couldn't take over a game, which wasn't as infrequent as you think, at least not in the playoffs

I am shocked -- SHOCKED!! -- that Bill Laimbeer is taking a public position against Michael Jordan.
I, for one, support him, as I love Bill Laimbeer and while I know he was a dirty thug, I really miss him and players of his ilk. I know this makes me a Cro-Magnon, but I really do. I miss the f'n violence and genuine hatred. But seriously, how can anyone give Bill Laimbeer's opinion on Michael Jordn any weight? That's like Jordan's opinion on Isiah.

um, to bolster MJs legacy would only make Bill look better (since he dominated the bulls throughout his career)
pls stick to baseball, you sound like a flaming idiot when you talk about anything else

Dude, they absolutely hated each other. It got personal. Isiah was from Chicago and got booed when he went back home. It was, and apparently still is, heated. The same reason Joe Theisman still hates the Cowboys to this day. Some of these old dudes hold butthurt grudges.

I don't really care. Maybe if Lebron would've come up in that era I wouldn't think that but he's soft and he plays in an even softer NBA.

This is all true.
They still fricking HATED each other.

If he came up in that era with his physical skills, no doubt. Today's flopping Lebron would've been a head case.

Lambier/Isaiah and MJ wished death upon each other. Lambier used to go after the best players with those hard fouls and MJ would lose his shite over it. It didn't help that the Bulls couldn't win and MJ is psycho competitive.
ETA:
As I was typing that I kept thinking that I really wish they still allowed players like Lambier to do their thing and rough frickers up.

Robert Parish fricked Bill Laimbeer up, and I mean bad ... and it was GLORIOUS!
I still watch it from time to time even today ... it always makes me smile.
Centenary's CHIEF ... dropping Laimqueer like a bad habit.

Jordan won the DPOY award. Jordan wins.

Pat Reilly among others, ruined it by over using Oakley and Mason in that role. Those 83-79 score playoff games were tough to watch.
