Saban doesn’t have much left in the tank and the playoff committee knows it. A few things have to happen but they will do everything they can to get Bama in.

I'd probably say TCU but I've got to throw FSU in the mix. We were all thinking 7-5, maybe 8-4. We were talking what would happen with Norvell if we missed another bowl. Fans around the country said Deion was just waiting on Norvell to get fired so he could take the job. Now we're sitting at 9-3 with a chance to win 10 games.

Those 3 losses in a row were ugly and excuses always make eyes roll but we were racked with injuries, specifically our best 2 defensive players who just happen to be DL, Fabian Lovett and Jared Verse. Those guys were dominant and not having them in those 3 makes us all wonder what could've been

Brian Ferentz. It's a serious accomplishment being that bad of an offensive coordinator.

Paul Chryst being fired midseason is barely beat out by UW hiring LukefrickingFickell to replace him.

Preseason I would have said zero chance of either happening.

It probably is USC

Eh not really, Riley brought his Heisman candidate QB and other weapons with him. And while the PAC 12 has been competitive (with each other mostly) it doesn't take much more than that to contend.

If Tulane gets a New Years Bowl that's the biggest surprise and I wouldn't think it was even close.

Another surprise is Bo Nix will probably be in New York for the Heisman ceremony.

Biggest surprise of the year was A&M cratering.

To me, second biggest was LSU winning the SEC West after beating Alabama, which returned the Heisman winner on offense, and the top defensive player in football on defense.

Tennessee being that good was pretty surprising.

Norvell has proven a lot this season. Hat's off to him. Jordan Travis is a darkhorse Heisman kind of guy going into 2023.
