Think like a player or coach that almost went to a different high school.
Or a notable player that was injured and his team would've won state if he was healthy.
I remember Notre Dame in Crowley trying to get Josh Reed to come over there.

What if the Booty family invested there family into Calvary sports earlier instead of Evangel? Posssibly the biggest dynasty in northwest louisiana!

What if Warrick Dunn stayed at Episcopal, where he went to middle school IIRC, rather than going to Catholic BR?

What if Christian Campbell didn't get hurt against Acadiana in 2014?
What if Scrappy Osby didn't get hurt against Zachary in 2021?

What if the center for Shaw didn't take his helmet off in the state championship game last season?

I always found this story insane.
Chalmette HS in 2004 went 10-2. Unbeaten in District and lost in the 2nd Rd of the playoffs. Had a legit team coming back that could make a run in 2005.
Nick Saltaformaggio said something before the season about how unless something crazy happens we will be competing for a state title. Something crazy did happen and they lost their entire roster due to Katrina basically.

This was the first year they made John Curtis drop to 2A so 4A was wide open. I mean Salt was and still is a heck of a coach but idk if we had the speed to be a real contender. That was how Lutcher got us two years in a row when we were the far higher seed both times. Pre-Katrina Chalmette was a little bit different demographically than it is now
