Ryan Day hasn't spoken one time about the stuff at Michigan. It is rat poison and not worth talking about.

Yet he took the time to give the Michigan signs to Purdue

Also, he is already proven to be a little bitch regarding this

But he certainly did make a thinly-veiled hint at Clemson’s sign stealing, which has become notorious recently and could be a subplot below the surface of Friday’s Sugar Bowl matchup.

quote:

He's one of the best defensive coordinators in college football,” Day said on Monday. “He does a great job calling the game. Seems to always know exactly what the other team is doing in terms of the plays that they're running, each play. Seems to call the right defense into that play a lot. Why that is, I don't really know

I don’t see how the entire world doesn’t see that Day is a rat-faced fig.

Most rational people agree that if rules were violated that all should be punished, Ohio State included.

But from essentially all reports, what Ohio State did was within the rules, and what Michigan did broke at least several rules.

One is a violation of NCAA rules and the other isn't.

If what Michigan did wasn't an issue there wouldn't be 13 pissed off coaches in the B1G. You can say they are all sore losers but they have been losing to OSU and Michigan for decades before and never reacted like this.

How does anything about this make Ryan Day a "bitch" as you said? Clemson was stealing signs, and Day made them pay for it and beat them by 4 TDs

If it's true that it's 100% within the rules to get signs from past opponents, but not within the rules to get those signs yourself, then the rules are fricking stupid

Absolutely agree. BUT Michigan broke the rules. I keep saying the same thing. LSU had players get in trouble for signing autographs days before NIL rule kicked in yet still got in trouble for it.

As the Big Ten awaits Michigan's response and mulls its decision, @DanMurphyESPN and I took a look at where each side stands, the arguments on both sides and the possible legal battle ahead. Thanks to @SportsLawGuy for his insight.

.@YahooSports has obtained a copy of Michigan's response.

In the letter, Michigan claims that any action from the league is a “breach" of the Big Ten handbook. And any discipline against Jim Harbaugh “would exceed the commissioner’s authority under the Sportsmanship Policy."

Michigan’s letter sets the stage for legal action against the Big Ten, claiming that commissioner Tony Petitti is not following proper due process spelled out in the league’s handbook and is instead “bootstrapping unproven rules violations through the Sportsmanship Policy.”

The University of Michigan's 10 page response to the Big Ten cites numerous reasons objecting to any discipline being handed down on the program or Coach Jim Harbaugh. Reporting with @RossDellenger.

It includes documents and pictures of Michigan's offensive and defense signs that were allegedly stolen and shared by other Big Ten teams.

Michigan is literally rolling with the "everyone does it" defense...

quote:

[Dellenger] Michigan with a warning to the Big Ten in its letter: "The conference should act cautiously when setting precedent given the reality that in-person scouting, collusion among opponents, and other questionable practices may well be far more prevalent than believed.”

Dave Clawson wonders why the NCAA has jumped all over the Michigan situation, but apparently did nothing after it was tipped off to the Wakey Leaks scandal that victimized his program for three years and left Wake coaches in the dark that whole time?
