re: Big Ten hands down punishment: Jim Harbaugh not allowed on the sidelines during games

The Big Ten says one of the reasons it is "highly concerned" about Michigan saying it hasn't reviewed evidence is that three Michigan officials sat in on NCAA interviews with staffers and heard them describe "details of the impermissible scheme."
ETA: nothing like failure to corporate with the NCAA twice in one season. On different investigations

I think Harbaugh gets suspended the rest of the season by the Big 10 because it was being managed and funded inside the UM football program
and Harbaugh is responsible
so they focus on the organization and management of the scheme, hold the HC accountable and stay out of speculating on benefits of the scheme, Ws and Ls etc
no vacated wins, the tOSU game still matters, the integrity of the 2023 season results stays in place, the UM kids arent punished etc and harbaugh takes the hit directly
the response from the Big 10 has to be proportional but also show the rest of the Conference that this is serious and UM is being held accountable

The same far left cucks who attempted to shut down the 2020 Big 10 season because of COVID are behind these politically motivated attacks on outspoken Catholic Jim Harbaugh. Any MSB poster who supports this penalty is hereby no longer a mate of mine.
You’re so pathetic.

Tomorrow's game should have massive ratings for Fox. They must be loving this

Side note. It’s been a week and a half and CMU still hasn’t discovered who that guy on their sideline could have possibly been.

Agreed. I kind of hope Michigan runs up the score. This is all dumb and the Big 10 made a hast decision.

We'll see if they even can run up the score at this point.

Poor James Franklin now with a no win situation. If they lose he gets extra clowned and he's 0fer in big games. If he wins then he didn't beat a real coach so it doesn't matter and he's still 0fer in big games.

This is a non-punishment.

quote:Whether that is common sense or not, this is a poor comparison as the cheating itself is not what is “common sense.” The B1G’s report notes that that the NCAA stated it knew and could prove the existence of an impermissible scheme.
Common sense indicates Alabama has had wide scale cheating in place for 16 years which directly impacted results on the field. Is there a trail of evidence to prove this? No, we just have to live with it unfortunately.
And if true, that would make the below moot, and not only is a “lack of institutional control” in play, but the NCAA PRESUMES the head coach has knowledge of the violations, even when that may not be a reasonable or “common sense” presumption. So in this case it actually is reasonable and common sense

Until actual evidence is presented linking Harbaugh to this mess, then he did nothing wrong and should not be suspended. Innocent until PROVEN guilty.

This isn’t a legal case so your argument holds no merit.
The Big Ten has made it clear to Michigan that they have the information needed to hand down the suspension. You aren’t and don’t need to be privy to that information.
