Time for some Moss highlights.

There goes my morning. His college highlights are absolutely absurd as well.

Moss was a kingmaker, he made todd fricking bouman look like he belonged in the NFL.

Chad Pennington
Daunte Culpepper
Todd Bouman

List goes on. He really was a king maker. Those QBs all owe him a shite ton of money.

looks like the better question is if moss in his prime was better than jerry rice(obviously not for an entire career)

I love Moss as much as anybody, but that is not a good question. Rice is the goat for a reason.

Also, how are we defining prime in this thread?

you are probably right, the question should be phrased, at his peak, was moss better than rice.

Moss was the most naturally gifted WR to ever play. No One has ever been able to go up and get a ball the way Moss could, and that can't be taught. It's all about instinct and god given talent. Match that ability with his speed and he was the most dangerous WR ever. Obviously Rice had a better career but if I got to take one of them for one season, in their prime, I would take randy all day every day.

Rice, just like any other GOAT, is the GOAT for a number of reasons, not the least of which is circumstance.

I don't see many GOATs being put in dumpster fire franchises for them to acheive their greatness. Rice was put in a great situation, and made the best of it. Moss was not so fortunate. Reverse the situations and who would've been better? Moss with Joe Montana, in that offense? Come on.

And stiff rules about pass interference.

Go frick yourself with this statement. I hate this statement enough when comparing older guys like Rice to young guys, since it's not the current players fault the rules are different. There is no way to know whether some guys today may have been better/worse with the old rules and vice versa.

Also, Randy Moss played just a few years ago, he had pretty much the same rules as CJ has now

can you imagine moss catching passes from montana, young, gannon, and shoot even garcia instead of some of the jokers moss was catching them from, aside from Brady.

less competition at his position

i think it'd be pretty damn interesting to see what calvin did if the other team actually had to cover someone else.

also calvin has at least 2 years of pure prime left. this dude is gonna continue to be dominant and it's gonna be fun.
