Better/More Passionate Fanbase: Northeast Pro Fans or Southern College Fans

I would say the Northeast is far more outwardly negative towards their teams, especially the media, but who is more loyal and more passionate.

I would say Northeast Pro Fans. Pretty easy to be a fan of a college team that plays 12 times a year as opposed to being a fanatic of a team that plays 162 or 82 games or whatever they play in Hockey.

Better would be the southern college fans as a whole, as the IQ level and professionalism is slightly higher.
In terms of loyalty and passion, they are the same

I live in the NE. The answer is Southern fans.

I guess I have a problem with 50 year old guys wearing a Brady jersey or any Jets jersey.... and those older guys that would cut in front of a little kid to get an autograph ....

Some dude just tattooed Saban on his back along with the record.
Im guessing thats about as passionate as it gets.

On the West Coast, it's a tourist attraction. And in the South, football is a religion, and Saturday is the holy day.

my guess is that there are alot of red sox, celtics and yankees fans that are just as die hard as the craziest alabama football and kentucky basketball fans.
although in general, it's probably true that southern college fans are more passionate as a whole than NE pro fans.

this isn't even a question worth asking... SEC above all. Only thing that comes close is European soccer fans and they probably TRUMP all

Euro soccer fans make SEC football fans look like nuns. Those people are fricking batshit insane.

Dude, all of the NFL versus Jaguar fans? Totally unfair comparison.

By northeast you mean Boston, New York and Philly? If so then yes they're better

The idea that NY sports fans are better is a joke. Look at the states of Alabama and South Carolina: populations around 4 million and each has two schools that average over 80,000 people per game. There is no equal for college football fans in the South in this country.

I've lived in 2 of those cities and in the inner parts of their respective states. you couldn't be more wrong. Both categories obviously have true fanatics. The percentage of population that are fanatical die hards is obviously greater for southern football.

Northeast pro fans don't even deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as southern college football fans

A better comparison would be northeast college basketball fans vs southern college football fans. I still think south football wins this category by sheer numbers (over 100k per game vs 35k), but I love me some cuse bball

I would say that you'd be more likely to be killed by a fan from the Northeast. Hard to beat that.
