If not for a garbage defensive performance against the 49ers, the Minneapolis miracle, and the worst no call in the history of sports, Drew would have been the reason for more rings.

But how much of this was Drew Brees an active part of ?
Give it some thought before you start slamming.

No it’s not you dumbfrick lol. I can make a convincing argument for Montana over Rivers without using the term Super Bowl at all. There is literally no argument for Eli over Drew unless you only look at Super Bowls and literally nothing else and only a waterheaded nutsack would do that. Are you a waterheaded nutsack?

This shouldn’t be a real conversation.

Brees is in consideration for the GOAT.

If he had an average defense throughout his career, he would have won at least 4 superbowls.

If he had New England's, he would have won at least 7

He played two full seasons without Sean Payton, in his prime.

His averages:

35 TDs, 4100 yards, 65% comp, 100 rating, roughly 300 yards a game

In 2012, without Payton, Brees threw for 5100+ yards and 43 TDs.

People also forget, for most of his career, Brees never had a consistent star receiver, had one of the highest receiver distribution (if not the highest), and had the most accurate deep ball in the NFL.

I don't think he needed Payton

Too stupid to even realize what your own argument is. Typical of your kind, just a trained monkey.

Eli didn't have Sean Peyton coaching him and dialing up the offensive plays. Let's not discount that. Does anybody really think Bo Nix is good enough to win 18 out of 26 games and put up great stats fresh out of college? I don't and I'm a Bo Nix fan.

Having said that, Brees is clearly better. I mean Eli was taller and had a stronger arm but Brees beats him in just about every other metric.

Better career (accolades)? Manning

Better QB (skill)? Brees

That really isn’t up for debate.

Drew was screwed by his circumstances.

Prime Brees before the arm injury against Dallas that limited his down field game was like watching a machine. He was incredible, it got to where you were surprised when they punted at all. This is a ridiculous comparison. It’s like comparing Marino to Griese.

If you don’t say Drew Brees you’re outing yourself as someone who doesn’t know anything about football

This.

Drew’s records and the fact he did it with Saints of all teams speaks for itself

Ahh yes 2 picks…

Of course you conveniently forgot to mention he also threw for 462 yards and 4 TDs also

What?

When was Brees a choker? I truly think some on this board think QBs also play defense
