This would be my ranking. I may have overlooked a player or two.

David Lee
Chris Kaman (He is as German as Darius Washington is Slovenian)
Mike Dunleavy Jr
Kirk Hinrich
Kevin Love
Mike Miller
JJ Redick
Tyler Hansbrough

Yeah, Kaman was born in Michigan

It has to be him or Lee.

Kaman plays for the German National team. So, don't count.

Darius Washington plays for Slovenia. Ben Gordon plays for England. These guys are still American, just like Kaman.

Will someone explain how these players are allowed to do this? I always hear of players playing for countries that are not their own.

Who cares? I don't think I could name more than 15 players total in the NBA.

It just depends on the citizenship rules of each country. Most are very lax when it comes to athletes who can help them in international competition.

Kaman's great-grandparents (really) are originally from Germany so that was enough to make him a citizen. Gordon was born in London to non-English parents and lived there for 4 months as an infant so that was also enough to become a British citizen. Darius Washington aka Darius Vashington's case (since there is no letter W in their alphabet) is the most absurd. I was wrong about Slovenia, it is actually Macedonia. He's never even played in Macedonia, but since he played in Greece for several years, I guess that was enough to make Vashington a citizen.
