Penn St. was severly underrated last season

Oh you are SO full of shite!! You are just saying this to TRY and bolster Usc's bowl win over an OVERATED team. Just like you are saying ND will be great THIS YEAR!!! You know what you need to do. BLAME the Slack-10 for NOT having a title game. That way USC may have been in a Nc game at least once in the last 4 years.

Since then no games by more than a TD.

I have no problem putting USC #1 for the Whole decade. Just because they are so consistant. However they always seem to lose to a team they should cream and it ruins their season.

ha ha. LSU is 7? These rankings are great. Well we have 2 N.C.s I'll take that over CFN's rankings.

Last season is over. Just wait. Compare the guys from Penn St last year to the guys from UF, Ou or Texas in the NFl over the next couple of seasons.

USC is clearly the best over the last 5 years.

The list is a good one.

I am ok with Texas where they are and ok with UGA over LSU.

Since you are only going back 5 years, you have a 2 loss LSU team that backed into a title in an incredibly lucky manner. Therefore I am fine with UGA>LSU with more quality wins and was just as good as LSU in 2007 with just as many quality wins. The MNC is often like flipping a coin and there is no true champion many years.

if you went back six years i think we can safely assume lsu would be #2 under this criteria....

Has NOTHING to do with this topic!!! What they do in the NFL means nothing on who is the BEST college team. AGAIn yo are clueless.

Doubtful. They still would not be able to pass up OU.

Wrong again as usual. Penn St was on those teams levels, I was using the NFL as a level playing field where those players could display their talent. If not for a last minute loss on a FG in the snow vs Iowa, Penn St may very well been mnc's last season.

No they weren't. IF they had beaten Iowa YES they would have made the NC game and would have lost to FLA BY more Than USC beat them in the Rose. Its called Team speed, And If PSU played in the SEC they would have lost 4 games.

you really cant argue that ou should be #2 over florida. i know you will but it really cheapens any other argument you make on this board. its pretty much a no brainer.

Are you referring to the top team over the past 5 seasons. I would agree as I would wieght BCS bowl for OU, but OU has been more consitenet overall than Florida.

All depends on the criteria used.

2 nc to 0 laughs at OU's "consistency". they've also been consistent in their bowl losses as well.

Florida was good in those 2 seasons but not as good in the other 3.

right. but they were special in those 2 seasons. it trumps anything OU has done and its not even close.

That is very debateable. Is going 13-0 with a mnc one season and 6-6 the next better than back to back 10-2 seasons? All depends.
