LINK

CFN did a thing on the top programs of the past 5 years. Counted wins over FBS, quality wins, draft picks etc.. to come up with a scoring system.

SEC fans aren't going to like this list.

you're right.

However, having Georgia ahead of LSU in any list, is indefensible. Just on the grounds of the NC, LSU should be ahead.

I see how they broke it down but still. It won't be popular, but SEC teams have to play SEC teams all year...and that's your reason for why they're low.

Using your link, 4 of the top 9, 5 of the top 12, and 6 of the top 20 schools are SEC schools.

And yet you still argue that the PAC 10 is tougher or as tough as the SEC.

Does not compute.

LSU at number 7 is absurd.

Yea.

If 2 championships aren't weighted enough to be ahead of Georgia, that's kinda silly.

The 2003 championship doesn't count since that was 6 years ago.

However, any school with an NC in the past 5 years should be ranked ahead of UGA.

Good point.

And another good point, lol.

I'd still like for Ruffalo to respond to how the SEC just dominates this list that HE posted, but is somehow not as good as the PAC 10.

Where have I said that the SEC was not as good as the PAC-10?

Difficult to place weight on mnc's as they are so subjective. For a purpose like this you almost have to count each bcs bowl win equally, except the addition of the 5th bcs bowl has watered down the overall competition. Hell, last season, the Holiday Bowl, the CAP One, and the Cotton Bowl had more talented teams than the Orange Bowl

bullshite. The MNC game is much tougher than the other BCS games. Name one BCS game that had tougher participants than the MNC. And yes include before the 5th game was added.

This scoring is very suspect. If a team wins 3 MNC in 5 years, there is no reason they should trail a team that hasn't had a single one let alone two teams. CFN may need to update their scoring.

USC Michigan ws comparable to LSU OU, and USC Penn St was comparable to UF and OU, especially as USC was the best team of the bunch. Can make a case for Ohio St Texas as well as being close in talent.

It is not bullshite at all

The big ten has not produced a team that can hang with USC or the SEC champ in years. I would agree that USC has probably been pretty equal to the participants in the MNC. To say they were the best is very laughable.

LSU/OU vs USC/Mich - LSU had a much better year than USC if you compare the quality wins they had. OU and LSU would have had equal succes against Mich. LSU/OU?USC were on par, Mich was a few rungs lower.

USC/Penn vs UF/OU - Penn was probably the worst Big ten champ in years. Played nobody. beat nobody. Down year for the Big ten. And thats saying something. Agian USC was probably on par with UF and OU but their competition was not.

tOSU/TX vs UF/OU - tOSU was not as good as UF. Not even close. OU = TX.

You can't even make an arguement for it. The competition in the MNC is always greater than the other bowls. I agree some of the other participants may be as good, but their oppenent is usually shitty. Now if you could have matched TX vs USC last year, that would have been a good match up on par with the MNC.
