Tampa's are as bad as any I've ever heard

5. Houston Astros - just an all together boring broadcast. There's no juice in that booth.

I'll agree with you partially. I love Bill Brown but the Brown/Ashby team can be a bit drab. That being said Ashby/Blum is one of my favorite teams in all of sports right now.

The Rangers' Steve Busby's voice is the most annoying thing possible and I have to hear it every time I hate watch the Rangers. Just terrible.

Shame on you for forgetting Vin Scully.

From the few that I've seen, I've really enjoyed Cubs and Blue Jays broadcasts, really entertaining folks. That being said I usually pick whatever station's graphics I prefer most. Fox Sports > Root > CSN > the least informative local channels like YES, SNY, SN (Toronto), and MASN

I'm pretty sure Uecker is basically retired and only does a partial radio schedule. I doubt he wants the added time and effort of doing TV

Have we gone two pages with no mention of Kuiper & Krukow for the Giants? I really enjoy those guys

ETA: The sooner the better for the Hawk btw. I like Steve Stone and he deserves to be partnered with someone better. Hawk left the booth mid-game the other day when Frazier busted his face. Just said "I'm headed downstairs, you take over."

Chip and Joe Simpson by far the worst in the game. It's awful. Pirates crew is also really bad.

Nationals crew sucks. Such obnoxious homers, both of them, but especially FP Santangelo who is a glorified cheerleader.

Yankees crew is terrible too, IMO. I can't stand Michael Kay.

Mets are definitely among the best in the game, albeit a little overrated IMO. Keith is hilarious and has some good anecdotes from his playing days, but often uninformed on current stuff. And Gary Cohen sometimes gets a little too soap-box-ey for my tastes.

Some other random ones that are good:

Mariners
Dodgers (goes without saying)
Padres (Dick Enberg on PBP, like Vin he will stop after this season so catch him while you can)
Orioles (GARY THORNE's voice brings me warm fuzzy memories of childhood)
Marlins (lots of sabr inclined gfx packages)
Giants (Kuiper and Krukow are tremendous, could do without Jon Miller)

And call me crazy but I love Hawk Harrelson, lol. I know I dinged the Nats guys for being obnoxious homers but Hawk has perfected the art form and his schtick is hilarious to me

Joe was throwing shade at Jon Hart tonight during tonight second inning when Hart was on the broadcast. It was awkward.

Yeah I thought that segment was pretty painful. Simpson was being kind of an arrogant douche. Hart was pretty forthcoming in saying that Fredi just wasn't the guy for the future.

I think Deshaies was fantastic and would give anything to have him back in the booth in Houston. Haven't listened to him since he's moved to Chicago but can't imagine it's bad

Yeah, I always thought Deshaies was great.

In the ranking of Vin Scully to Hawk Harrelson, he was definitely closer to Vin.

He's great. I liked bob brenley and len and thought that'd be hard to top but Len and JD are are so much better together.

Vin Scully is obviously tGOAT.

I grew up listening/watching Jon Miller call ESPN Sunday Night Baseball, and he really is the voice of baseball in my childhood. I miss his voice on those telecasts and on ESPN's radio broadcasts of the World Series. I know he's the longtime voice of the Giants, and he resumed that full time after leaving the ESPN Sunday night telecast.

When the Yankees were in the WS in '09, I actually chose to listen to the games on the radio over watching them on TV.

He has a neat story in that he grew up in Northern California a huge Giants fan, and after bouncing around from the A's to the Orioles, he ended up being the voice for his beloved Giants.

On a side note, he actually does some great (and funny) impressions of some broadcasting legends, most notably of Vin Scully and Bob Sheppard (longtime Yankees stadium announcer).

Glad to see the Whote Sox getting trashed in here. By FAR the worst.

Mets are good.

As a Nats fan, Bob and FP have too much shtick. Gets old after every game.

You guys hating on my boy Hawk Harrelson are going to get cut

The Orioles broadcast is pretty good as I like what Jim Palmer brings.

As for the Nats broadcast, I like FP as you always need a little homer in the broadcast.

I loved Bob Brenly, but JD is very good and he and Len do work great together.

I get MLB Extra Innings, and I'll agree about the Mets on SNY. Ron Darling is the man. I hate the Dodgers, but I watch them late at night especially during home games to soak up the last vestige of Vin Scully.
