Joe Burrow's state championship game was wild. Toledo Central Catholic beat Athens 56-52 on a touchdown with :15 left. Over 1200 total yards in that game. TCC is a powerhouse in Ohio and that would have been a pretty big upset had Athens been able to hold on. I remember watching this live. Unreal game.
i haven’t watched a second of high school football outside of recruits highlights since I was in high school. Yet even I want to go back and watch that game. That drive chart and scoring summary are insane!

Ponchatoula-Acadiana 2021 5A Semifinal.

Acadiana was the 2-time defending 5A champion. Ponchatoula had arguably its best team ever and was undefeated, looking to make the state title game for the first time since 1951. In addition, coach Hank Tierney was going for his 300th win. Ponchatoula was also looking to avenge its other best team ever (2014; lost to Acadiana in the 2nd round after Christian Campbell got hurt). This game featured many thrilling plays and all-time great play-by-play by Jim Derry.

The RB for Noland's team got his first D1 offer after he put on a show in that game. Indiana.

He looked really shifty and I was thinking how cool it must be for a kid to get his first P5 offer after having a great game on national tv.

Jesuit-John Curtis 2014 State Championship Game at the Superdome

It was a bloody dogfight from beginning to end with 2 extremely talented well-disciplined teams

I’ll never see a better high school game

We beat Jesuit in the regular season. 2014 and 2021 were huge missed opportunities for our program, but I believe we'll put together another dome-caliber team by the end of the decade.

STM Vs LCA last year was amazing.

I was coming to post this. LCA qb had 585 total yards with 5 td's and led by 10 points with 1:45 in the game. STM qb passed for 422 yards. Almost 1400 yards of total offense for the game.

But the good guys came out on top in the end 52-48.

2018-2019 6A Division 1 Final between North Shore and Duncanville. Final score was North Shore 41 Duncanville 36. North Shore had 57 seconds left in the game down 35-36. They drove 78 yards on nine plays and scored on a 45 yard pass as the clock ran out.

Another great game I saw in person was Longview's regular season 28-25 win over Allen in 2009. Down 17-0 at halftime, Longview scored 21 points in the third quarter and a TD plus a two point conversion in the fourth quarter. It was an August 28th game. Longview was No.1 in 5A and Allen was No. 2 in 6A before the game.

Box with game article below.

2012. My son's last football game. Still stings.

Greatest high school game I've seen in person. All the players were gassed at the end of the game. Manziel looks exactly the same as he did a few years later at A&M.

Cibolo Steele (Malcolm Brown) VS Kerrville Tivy (Johnny Manziel) in 2010.

Both teams combined for 1,113 total yards in a 54-45 Tivy win. QB Johnny Manziel (committed to Texas A&M) was 34-42 for 428 yards and 6 TDs passing to go along with 18 rushes for 130 yards and 2 additional TDs. Not to be outdone, Steele RB Malcolm Brown (committed to Texas) rushed 31 times for a career-high 353 yards (11.4 YPC) and 4 TDs.

I ran the game clock in Carrollton Friday night for that game. Our association officiated it.

Frankly, both QBs looked average. It would have been a better game later in the season. I also thought Carrollton made a bad play call in the last play; the ball had to be thrown into the end zone there.

West Monroe had a 48-21 lead.

Most amazing thing was that after WM fumbled, up 48-28 then WM never snapped the ball again the rest of the game.

That, and some of the STM v Catholic games. 2019 - STM 50 : Catholic 52 was a wild one.

2003 Hahnville vs Evangel in the dome is the best one I have ever seen. 41-35 Hahnville was the final if I remember right.

WM scored on the first play of the 4th quarter to go up 48-21. Extra point was missed. My friend, who rode with me to the game jokingly said, I hope that extra point doesn't come back to hurt us.

WM lost 49-48.
