One Cincinnati Bengals left Sunday’s game a hero.
A fan wearing an Evan McPherson jersey won everyone in Paycor Stadium a free pizza after kicking a 40-yard field goal.

The man, who hasn’t been identified, was taking part in the Bengals’ "Slice the Uprights" field goal challenge that gives fans the chance to win free pizza. A successful attempt from the 10-yard line gives the kicker free pizza for a year, and a successful attempt from the 30-yard line gives the entire stadium a free slice.

I wonder how deep the disqualification disclaimer goes for this contest?
Clearly if you’ve ever kicked professionally you’d be dis-allowed, but D1 schools carry something like 7 kickers (including walk-ons) and every high school in the country will typically a few kids that can put a 40-yarder through the uprights.
So if you were a walk on kicker at OSU for a season 8 years ago would you be allowed to participate? A current or former high school starting kicker?

That seems staged like how they do at NBA games when they'll put a pie in the face of "opposing fans" (who are actually like ticket reps for the host team wearing a visiting team jersey for the skit). Why is the guy wearing cleats? He just happens to have an authentic jersey of the McPherson the kicker?

It's Cincinnati, not New York or Boston.

The catch is that the WHODEY promo code must be used by the end of today to the deal and you and must buy something of equal value so it's really just a one day buy one get one free deal.

Of course.
Donato's once spent a ton of money to break into the Atlanta market about 25 years ago.
They were soundly rejected. Pizza isn't good, but they also tried to be the "neighborhood pizza joint" kinda concept. Without properly researching they Mellow Mushroom already had that very well cornered in ATL. Most of their stores got bought up and turned into Panda Express within 2-3 years.
Plus, Donato's didn't even sell beer. Why would you run a sit-down pizza place without slinging beer?!

And he would’ve won $1,000,000 on college gameday. Smh
