All kinds of things get assigned to subcommittee. Most things never make it out. Talk to me if this thing makes it to the floor for a vote.

It's not a hidden agenda he's even talked about it before, not a conspiracy at all. He clearly stated before that he thought this needed to be addressed.

He only talked about it during a one on one interview because he was ASKED a question during that time. If he had a hand in it going to congress it'll be all over the news, especially ESPN. I mean ESPN talked about his NCAA brackets A LOT don't you think if OBAMA had a hand in some BCS b.s. ESPN would be all over it.

Yes it is. He has no hand in this.

We understand you do not like Obama, it is OK.

A simple google search would reveal it is pushed by Joe Barton, a republican from Texas (a state whose flagship school was recently screwed by the lack of a playoff). LINK

And Barton brought up the issue in the past under a GOP president and GOP congress. LINK

So please people, grow up. It's sad and juvenile to rip on the new prez like this.

That's exactly it. He's catering to Texas fans. I'm pretty sure if LSU had gotten the wrong end of a BCS deal Tiger fans would not be so hostile. I think its a waste of time and improper, but at least recognize it for what it is.

There's been plenty of times recently OSU could have won NC's with 4 or 8 team playoffs, FWIW. But the BCS rewards how you do throughout the entire season, and that's why I like it.

Ohio State has had 3 chances to win the BCS.
Their 1 win took double overtime.

Why would they win more if there was a playoff?

Yeah if they had been playing teams in ohio in it. I mean really? Who would they have beat? They would have eventually had to play a team that is actually good and they would've got killed! I think you should just be honest and say you like it because it puts your team in the national championship game even though everyone knows that the pathetic 10 couldn't get close to beating anyone good in the SEC

For the record, that "simple" google search might not be good enough. A more detailed investigation would lead one to discover that Joe Barton is longer the Chairman of that committee.

The new committe chairman is Bobby Rush, a Democratic Convgressman from CHICAGO who was a very active supporter of Obama in the campaign.

Now, I could give a shite, and I'm certainly no conspiracy theorist, but you should at least get your shite straight before bashing someone else for not doing the same thing.

You're right, there's no need to criticize Barry O. on the BCS issue. It's better to focus on his socialist agenda that is designed to crush capitalism by punishing the achievers and rewarding the mediocre.

Oops sorry... I'll move this discussion over to the political board....

Are you saying anything more than OSU has finished in the top 4 or top 8 at the end of some seasons (pre-bowl), just like a group of other teams? Because, if you are, I'd like to know what you mean.
