T-Ball at 5?

My little baw was developing 4 pitches by that age and finishing his first cycle of Tren.

You better get moving.

I’m probably in the minority, but I think you should spent this time on working with him personally, instead of putting him in organized sports. You can set fundamentals with him, and develop the base skills that will help excel by age 7 or so.

Exactly. What you think childhood is for? Allowing kids to be kids? Hell no!
Marv Marinovich Says you better start two a days with this baw. Nap time is over!

My son is 5 and we did basketball and teeball at the YMCA last year (when he was 4 and in preK). He had a blast at both

This year we did flag football at Traction, are currently doing basketball at TEAM Sportsplex, and will be doing teeball at Traction too.

Try to get with some other parents from your son’s school so he will know some of the kids already on his team. If you do that, he’s going to have a blast no matter where you sign him up.

I did T-ball at 4 or 5 through BREC.

I thinkt first basketball team was in the second grade through my school, but it was a YMCA league.

Soccer was through BRSA when I was six. I think our teams were organized through zip code.

I had a great time tossing and kicking the ball with my son at that age. By the time he started real sports he was one of the better kids in the league.

My BIL tried sports with his kid from 4 to 5 and he’s out of all of them by 8…just something that he never did well enough at to keep going. That’s sad, because he probably shouldn’t even have started yet…but Instagram needs its pics.

For that age, Istrouma Baptist at 1-12 and Airline has a good league
Also, Healing Place Church league has a good kid league as well and you don't have to participate in the church if that's not your thing
Or you can overpay and sign up for the Traction league not knowing your kid's skill set

It's been a few years but my son did T-ball at the Y with his friends off Siegen Lane. Healing Place has good youth programs as well. But like I said, it's been a little while for me.

It’s possible to play with your son in the yard and sign him up for a team.

Traction. They have a solid youth program with actual instructors who are employed by Traction and not random volunteer dads who played freshman high school ball and are trying to live out their glory days.

We didn’t just toss it or kick it for 20 minutes at a time. My point is you don’t have to rush it, there’s plenty of time to compete…get some basics down and enjoy the smiles. Lord knows I’m all for competitions, I’ve driven 2500 miles in a bit over a month bringing my son to them.
