Say I go for a two handed jam and get rejected by the rim. The ball stays in contact with my hands and is never jarred loose.

Does the shot clock reset?

IF you land with it, not if it spills out

Never mind, not jarred loose

It happened in a tournament game last weekend, and the shot clock reset.

Situation was slightly different. Someone shot an air ball, offensive player went up to grab the rebound, ball grazed the rim as offensive player was bringing down the airball rebound, shot clock reset.

Think it’s a travel call in that scenario.

Ive honestly never seen it happen. But I can't see how that would be traveling if the ball made contact with the rim. But in a fast paced game, something happen that quick, I can see the ref calling that. But that doesn't mean its the right call.

I don't see how it would be possible to be rejected by the rim and the ball never move from your hands

On a 2 handed dunk it can easily happen, one handed rim rejection usually ends up in losing the ball.

As said, if you jump up and never actually lose grasp of the ball then it is travel.

Shot clock resets anytime the ball hits the rim, but I think you're gonna be called for traveling in that scenario.

In this scenario the players doesn't gain possession until he lands so no traveling. Clock resets because ball touched the rim.

In the scenario presented by the OP its a travel.

If you screw up a slam dunk, it should immediately by a turnover, by rule.
You and your team doesn't deserve to keep the ball after that.
