Didn’t Beltran help pioneer the Yankees electronic sign stealing system and then go to Houston to let them know how “far behind” they were relative to the rest of the league?

Epitome of fools gold!

Forgot to mention Murphy’s two MVP’s and is arguably one of the top 5 players of the 80’s.

Beltran doesn’t have enough black ink (led the league in something) or gray ink (was among the top 10 individual leaders in something) for my tastes

Beltan Amongst Swtich Hitters All Time:

WAR: 6th (70.0)
HR: 4th
Runs: 5th
Hits: 6th
RBI: 3rd
Total Bases: 4th

If Dale Murphy can’t, the bum Edmonds sure as shite ain’t getting in.

Edmonds has a way better career and its not even really that close. Better defense, better offensive player. More WAR in about 1.5 less season's worth of plate appearances.

Carlos Beltran got elected in?

I guess the trash can thing isn’t going to keep people out after all.

Altuve has got to be a virtual lock now…

I don't know. That 2-0 MVP advantage should hold a lot of weight.

That “bum” helped kick Atlanta’s arse in 2000 and has something Jones couldn’t get in two tries, a ring.

Murphy had a great prime. The problem is, the surrounding years, he was barely a replacement-level player.

Fielding Percentage. Andruw Jones - .9902, just .0001 behind Robin Yount

Mike Trout - .9941
Ichiro Suzuki - .9927
Christian Yellich - .9907

He was very good, but let's not get carried away.

How are you forgetting there was this guy in Seattle that was really good for a long time?

I asked for them to give me which metric to use. You're welcome to do the same.
