Video game numbers.

His longest gain in the Kansas game was 25 yards, and he still had a 300+ yard game. That's ridiculous.

I am sure I can find several seasons by athletes in multiple PROFESSIONAL sports that are considered better , you know, since they are professional level and not against college scrubs.
Here is one that you will like
Tiger Woods 2000 season. Three majors , one of them by like 12 strokes.

You mean 1997 when a running back in the NFL rushed for 2053 yards on 335 attempts for a 6.1 ypc average? Oh that was Barry Sanders...

We're talking sports, not games.

Yeah there is a huge gap between the sports. Obviously very different but how does that not compare on a dominance level?

damn Gretzky's 81 season must have been ridiculous. 92 goals? most top scorers barely get 90+ points.

Here's how I like to look at it: as the years go on, numbers continue to be inflated. So when I look at a record that was set so long ago and know that it will never be touched, I consider that one if the greatest, of not THE greatest.
Pistol's PPG record. Just will never happen again.

I'll play old man
Jeff Gordon's 1998 season
In 33 starts, he won 13 times and had 26 Top 5 finishes

The Diesel would have caught him.

I have already given him a list and discredited another poster who wanted to throw out Barry's NFL season, only it was topped by two other people.

Again, we're looking for a "sports" season.

Already been posted, Adrian Peterson, MVP season.

Ok. I can let the BABE and Wayne slid into they fray. But I don't count Wilt as that impressive since the players he was playing against were so dwarfed by him that it was almost unfair.
