By all accounts he is a good dude, great baseball player, but I just don’t like him.
Barry Bonds was and still is my favorite player of all time. But I won’t ever deny that Trout is the best in the game today.

I don’t get the anti bonds hof talk. Are we going to pretend a ton of the pitchers from that era weren’t using steroids? His numbers are off the charts and he was a first ballot hall of famer prior to his alleged steroid use. Not only that but steroids have little to due with him being among the best hitters of the last 40-50 years and his hand eye coordination. He should be in.

I don’t like the way the media drools over him. They essentially gift him the MVP every year and someone else has to wrangle it away from Trout.
I give him huge, huge props for staying with the Angels though. Makes me appreciate him more.

Guys like Clemens, McGuire, Sosa and Bonds absolutely saved professional baseball. They should all get in just for saving the game.
Bonds is vilified because he DGAF about media and they are crushing him now for it. When Big Papi gets in the HOF it will just prove that they are being spiteful.

How many games did he win as a pitcher? Babe Ruth went 94 and 46 as a pitcher winning more than 20 games twice while pitching over 300 innings. Until we see someone who excels at both hitting and pitching we will never have anyone better than Babe Ruth. By the way, I am a big Hank Aaron fan as well.

A case could easily be made that Bonds was a Hall of Famer before 1998/1999 when his production exploded and he presumably began using steroids.
