I admitted It was stupid (silly was the word I used) and that Im just butthurt in my first post. I'm going to drown this loss in a bottle of wine and forget about it. I got 500 lbs of crawfish to boil tomorrow and wouldn't have been able to make the championship game anyway.
Btw: Iowa lost to JC 3-2 in the 3a semis. Kinder moved on and hopefully barbe smokes the Catholics tomorrow.

The starter was not Barbe's ace, the Goree kid is their #1 and he was their 2nd pitcher. Barbe played well tonight but we beat ourselves. We played a little nervous and left bases loaded 3 innings plus had a new lineup due to an injury and a suspension.

Barbe coach is a major douchebag and a-hole. Most people that work with him can't stand him
With that said he's a hell of a coach and motivator but lots of parents have complained about him ruining kids arms. He's burned out about every good pitcher he's ever had. No pitch counts, etc from the time they are freshman

I went to the game and was surprised at how Barbe's players and fans (mostly their students) carried themselves. Taunting, trash talk, "sulphur sucks" chants, and what not. I haven't seen them play in a long time and wondered if that was normal for them. If the coach is a douche then maybe it carries over to the team too?

Sulphur was chanting, "Dustin blew it clap clap clap clap clap," last week when they came back to beat WM. So zero sympathy for them.
Yeah, Barbe has always acted that way though.

I thought it was smart to intentionally walk Austin Nelson all night. Smart coaching move without a doubt. Obviously you haven't watched many Sulphur games this year b/c Austin was one of the best base runners they had this year. Just b/c he is big doesn't mean he can't run.
