I know WM beat Barbe in the finals (I think on a late HR) one of the years I was in HS. I think we may have faced them like 3/4 years in the finals during my time.

Kudos for them for building the infrastructure of the program.
But is it impressive how good they are every year when they are a fully recruiting baseball factory? I mean it’s a college baseball recruit select team masquerading as a high school program

I get the “Barbe recruits” line when shite like that happens, but most of those kids have been homegrown for decades.

I’m from Houma. I’m aware of what they did. And it’s incredible. Great story. But they had a home field for games. They had to use someone else’s.

Check out UL’s roster. There’s a kid listed as: Kinder, LA (Barbe HS). The kid that was at LSU last year: Sulphur, LA (Barbe HS).
Many of these over the years, though Sam Houston may now have the crown of kids from most different places.
